Dora J Wynn

Dora J. Wynn (Formally Known As Dora L. Jowers) passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 in Crestview, Florida.

Dora was born on July 28, 1935 to James and Dora Belle Jowers in Marengo County, Alabama.  Dora and her family moved to the Laurel Hill area in 1962 and was a secretary for Laurel Hill School. She was a baptist by faith and a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Laurel Hill.

Dora is preceded in death by  her husband, Joe W. Wynn, her sister, Myra Jowers Johnson and her parents, James Leroy Jowers and Dora Belle Agee Jowers.

Dora is survived by her son, Wyatte Wynn (Kathy), her daughter, Barbara W. Covington (John), her brother, James C. Jowers (Patricia), her sister, Rose Jowers, her four grandchildren, Erin C. Kayler (Jeremiah), Colleen Wynn, Natalie Abell (Jared) and Joseph W. Wynn, two great grandchildren, Liam J. Kaylor and Lyon A. Kaylor along with numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2024 beginning at 2:00 p.m. with from The Chapel of Brackney Funeral Service with Pastor Donnie Cadenhead officiating. Burial to follow at Almarante Cemetery in Laurel Hill, Florida.  The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 25, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
