May 30, 1942~November 12, 2020

Faye Sanford, 78, passed away peacefully due to Alzheimers disease November 12, 2020 , at her home with her family.

Faye was born May 30, 1942 in Crestview Florida. She married the love of her life, John Sanford on September 26, 1970. They were an example of what the perfect marriage was meant to be.

Faye was first and foremost a dedicated mother to 5 children, who she loved more than her own life. She was the most amazing grandmother to her 9 grandchildren who adored her.

In fact, everyone who met Faye, fell in love with her. She was the most spunky, hilarious, fashionable and gorgeous woman. She loved to garden, cook and shop and it didn’t matter if it was at a Flea Market or Saks 5th Avenue, she was going to rock whatever she bought. Her most treasured possessions had to have a story behind them.

Faye is survived by her husband of 50 years, John Sanford, her five children, Debbie (Mark) Jordan, David Sheets, Johnny (Jan) Sheets, Junior(Susie) Sheets and Lisa Sanford. Her 9 grandchildren Tyler Sheets, Adam Sheets, Aleigha Jordan McKinley, Christy Padgett, Chad Jordan, Kristina Hnidy, Justin Sheets, Kevin Sheets and Jaime Schaffer.

She was preceeded in death by her parents, Eva Nell Deese and Arnold Crain. Her grandmother Ruby Kennedy, her two favorite aunts Verna Collins and Opal Jordan and her uncles Glenn Kennedy, BJ Kennedy and Frank Kennedy.

Faye’s Celebration of life will be held at Brackney Funeral home Tuesday, November 17, 2020, 1:00pm visitation, service will be held at 2:00pm, with graveside burial to follow.

It’s impossible to sum up such a beautiful and loved woman in a few paragraphs. She was loved and cherished by so many.

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit’ Psalm 34:18

So sorry to hear of the passing of one of the sweetest women I’ve ever met. Not long after I’d met her she found out I had recently lost my mother, (they were the same age). She told me she’d decided she was going to be my mother. I will never forget her kind gesture as long as I live. Godspeed Miss Faye, you will be greatly missed.

Faye was a beautiful person. She took me to the hospital on a night that I was in total, renal failure. She saved my life by doing that.
We were neighbors on Adam’s Dr.
She’s in heaven. You all will see her again. She was a true blessing.
May God bless you and keep you all.

I have many wonderful memories of Faye and her children growing up. Faye was strikingly beautiful inside and out and hilarious. Her children are a reflection of her love and devotion to her family. I am so grateful for having her influence in my life. Faye and my mom Opal were like sisters!
Love to John, Debbie, David, Johnny Ray, Junior, Lisa and family
