Janet Stuckey Garrett 69, of Baker, Florida passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 peacefully at home with her husband and children by her side. Janet was born on January 27, 1954 in Crestview, Florida to Arthur and Minnie Stuckey and has been a lifelong resident ever since.

Janet is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Lee and Minnie Leo Stuckey, her brother, Durwood Stuckey, her sisters, Dorothy Prescott and DeLane Harlson and her great grandchildren, Kylan McVay and Aurora McVay.

Janet is survived by her husband of fifty one years, Cecil R. Garrett, her son Cecil T. (Beau) and his wife Crystal, her daughter, Chelsi N. (Nikki) Williams and her husband Wendell, her sisters, Dale Adams and Lois Strouse, her grandchildren, Summer (Jim) Anderson, Micah (Nick) Price, and Garrett (Madison) McVay, her great grandchildren, Cade and Alivia Anderson, Layne and Caroline Price and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral will be held on Monday, October 30, 2023 beginning at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Brackney Funeral Service with Pastor Nathan Forte officiating. Burial to follow at Milligan Cemetery (Across the street from First Baptist Church of Milligan) on Old River Road in Baker, Florida. The family will receive friends on Sunday October 29, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Brackney Funeral Service Chapel in Crestview, Florida.

Janet will always be remembered as a wonderful friend and part of the class of 1972. We will miss you sweet lady but know you are with our Heavenly Father. We can only imagine what you are doing and seeing in your new home. We’ll see you again one day soon. Praying God will bring your family peace and comfort that only he can give.
