In Loving Memory of Jennifer Lee Bane
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jennifer Lee Bane on October 27, 2023, at the age of 58, following a courageous two-year battle with cancer. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose absence leaves a profound void in our lives.
Jennifer, born on December 29, 1964, in Hazlehurst, MS, was the cherished daughter of William and Sally Filer (Houston). Soon after, her family relocated and made their home in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida. She was a proud graduate of FWB High School but admitted she spent many school days on the beach working on her tan.
Jennifer is survived by her loving husband of 23 years, Carl Bane, her children: Maggie Spencer, Tristan Eccles, and Sam Venuti, and her six grandchildren: Kallie, MaKenna, Layla, Fenix, Phoebe, and Jackson.
Her memory is also cherished by numerous family members who held a special place in her heart, including Dave and Joyce Amos, Lisa Bacon, Hunter Bacon, Kevin and Candace Allen, Skyler Tinsman, Martha Bane, Joshua Bane and Jacob Bane.
Jennifer was known for her passion for sewing, her love of literature, and her penchant for all things British entertainment. Her remarkable sense of humor brightened the lives of everyone she touched.
A celebration of Jennifer’s life will be held on December 2, 2023, at 2:00 PM in the fellowship hall at New Bethel Church (5956 Hwy 85 N, Crestview, FL). This gathering will be a casual celebration of her life, and food will be provided to all in attendance. We warmly invite you to come and share your memories and stories with Jenny’s family and friends.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated staff at Ascension Sacred Heart Cancer Center in Pensacola and Covenant Hospice for their unwavering support during this challenging time.
Jennifer’s memory will forever dwell in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing and loving her. Her legacy of love, laughter, and warmth will continue to inspire us all.
