Jimmie Lee Godwin

Jimmie Lee Godwin 69, of Crestview, Florida passed away on Tuesday, December 26, 2023. Jimmie was born on April 23, 1954 to James and Bertha Mae Godwin in Crestview, Florida and has been a lifelong resident ever since.

Jimmie was the owner of Godwins Roofing for twenty years and was locally known as one of the best roofers in Okaloosa County. He enjoyed drawing, playing guitar, music, riding with his dogs, Lucky and Beau, fishing, hunting, camping, telling stories and cutting up with folks.

In his younger years, he was a member of Shady Grove Church in Baker, Florida where he was in a gospel band.

Jimmie is preceded in death by his parents, James Wilson Godwin and Bertha Mae Mason Godwin, his daughter, Sally Godwin, his sister, Annie Mae Godwin, his brother, Bobby F. Godwin.

Jimmie is survived by his Life Partner, Patricia Grabowski, his son, Jimmy L. Godwin Jr., his daughters, April White (T.J.), Amanda Godwin (Kevin), and Melody White (Scott) his two sisters, Betty Godwin (Wilbur Adams), Kattie Godwin Davis, his niece, Gloria Godwin (Shannon Cook) and his great nephews, Stephen & Jayden Godwin along with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
