Jimmie Ray Moore, age 72, of Milton, passed away on Thursday, November 2, at his home with his wife by his side. Jimmie was born on April 11, 1951 in Crestview to James C and Opal Davis Moore. He was raised in Crestview and lived here until moving to Milton 17 years ago. Jimmie served honorably in the US Navy and then had a fulfilling career as an aircraft mechanic. He retired from Civil Service , then worked again as a government contractor, retiring a second time. Jimmie enjoyed attending Crestview Independent Baptist Church. When relaxing, he enjoyed watching Westerns and Science Fiction movies.
Jimmie was preceded in death by his son James W. Moore and his parents James C and Opal Davis Moore.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years Susan Moore
4 Aunts Lillian Posey, Dollie Snipes, Helen Davis and Alma Ruth Melton
along with numerous cousins and friends
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00PM, Tuesday, November 7, from the Chapel of Brackney Funeral Service with Pastor Joel McGraw officiating. Burial will follow in the Live Oak Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors.
The family will receive friends on Monday,November 6, from 5PM until 7PM, at the funeral home.
