John Douglas Hoover, 64 of Crestview Florida has passed away Sunday, September 12, 2021. John was born in Paris, France to Walter and Betty Hoover on September 22, 1956. John moved to Okaloosa County as a child and has been a lifelong resident ever since. John graduated at Crestview High School and then began his working careers at L3, Kenan Transport and Tate Oil. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Garden City and enjoyed fishing, playing guitar, and collecting coins.
John is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Betty Hoover, sister, Debbie Weaver.
John is survived by his wife, Linda Hoover, sons, Jason (Susan) Hoover, Jeremiah (Stephanie) Hoover, stepdaughter, Malanie Ward, brother, David Hoover, sister, Donna (Bill) Lundvall, six grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held Saturday, September 25, 2021, beginning at 11:00 am, at First Baptist Church of Garden City, 3140 Haskell Langley Road Crestview, Florida 32539, with Pastor Dennis Robinson officiating.

I’m sorry to hear of John’s passing, but I’m glad to hear he will be present with the Lord. From what I remember of him, he always had a kind smile and a gentle spirit. I pray for the family and friends he has that will miss and mourn his absence. God send his peace that passes all understanding and bless Linda 🙌 to carry on without him. In Jesus name, Amen.
