Joseph M. “Joe” Brunson, age 74, of Baker, passed away Thursday, June 4, at his home. Joe was born on September 8, 1946 in Andalusia, Alabama to William D. Brunson, Sr & Neva Davis Brunson. He grew up in Falco and Escambia Farms before moving to Baker in 1961. In his words, he studied at the University of Hard Knocks, attending school in Escambia Farms and Baker. Joe is known as a longtime business owner and pillar of the Baker Community. He is a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Crestview. Joe is also a Mason, Mt Ewell Lodge # 131 F. & A.M. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, and after obtaining his pilot's license enjoyed flying.
He was preceded in death by a daughter Lynn Booker.
Survivors include his best friend and wife of 54 years Rochelle Brunson, a daughter Pam Dubose, a brother Sam Brunson, a nephew, who he treated as a son, Danny Brunson, 6 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren & numerous other relative's, extended family and friends.A mass of resurrection will be held at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 550 Adams Drive Crestview, Florida 32539 on Thursday, June 10, 2021 beginning at 11:00 a.m. with Father Roy Marien serving as celebrant. The family will receive friends Thursday June 10, 2021 from 10 – 11 am at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church.
