L.D. Easterling, CMSGT USAF Ret. Born in Louisville, KY, departed this world on March 20, 2020 after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 85 years.
L.D. proudly served in the United States Air Force active duty for 30 years and continued with Civil Service for an additional 15 years, retiring in 2000.
L.D. is preceded in death by his wife, Maureen of 61 years. His parents and two brothers, Rondell and Paul. He is survived by his two sons: Larry (Lori) of Sacramento, CA., Brian (Janice) of Baker, FL., one daughter, Paula of Ohio, two brothers: Jack (Belinda) of Charlotte, NC., Benny of Helechawa, KY. And two sisters: Jeanette Stacy (Richie) of West Liberty, KY., Terry Sue Lacy (Michael) of White Oak, KY.
Papaw will always be remembered by his grandchildren, Steven, Cassie, Amanda, Gavin, and Tessa. Great-grandchildren: Kayson Cook, and Sawyer Head. He will also be greatly missed by his many friends.
L.D. was always happy as long as he had a toothpick in his mouth and his two furry companions, Molly and Sophie by his side.
The family of L.D. wishes to extend their sincere thanks to Main St. Medical, Dr Al-Dehneh, Dr. Rinaldi, 21st Century Oncology and Staff, and Emerald Coast Hospice for their genuine kindness.

LD was such a good man. I loved hearing his stories about when he was in Viet Nam and how instrumental he was in getting people out in the end. It was just a pleasure working with him too. My prayers are for you all. God Bless
