Landon “Huston” Ellis, 82 Of Crestview passed away at his home on Wednesday, January 22, 2020. Huston was born February 4, 1937 in Okaloosa County and was a lifelong resident. He owned and operated Perfection Cleaners in Ft Walton Beach until his retirement in 2003, he was Baptist by faith. Huston was also a Veteran of the USAF serving in Japan, prior to buying his business, He was a graduate of Escambia Farms School. He loved nature, working in the yards, gardening and reading, spending time with his family and adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also enjoyed spending time with his friends at McDonalds.
Huston is preceded in death by his parents; Bob & Carlie Ellis, brothers; James & Edison Ellis, sister; Maxine Waller, and Aileen Harkins.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Nettie Ellis, two daughters; Rhonda G Cawthon (Charles), Paula R Wolfe (Bob), two grandchildren; Matthew Cawthon (Kappi), Andrew Cawthon, three great- grandchildren; Mattox, Saylor and Harbor Cawthon and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 26, 2020, from the Chapel of Brackney Funeral Service, beginning at 2 pm, with burial to follow at Live Oak Park Memorial cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 to 2pm.
