May 23, 1931~November 29, 2021

Marion McLeod left us November 29th to add her alto to the Heavenly choir in Glory. She was born May 23, 1931, in Washington, Warren County, N.J. She lived life on her terms, without regret or filters. Her love for children was shown by teaching Sunday School for more than 30 years, hosting a Good News Bible Study Club in her home and substitute teaching for a local elementary school. She also shared Jesus’ love through deaf ministry, jail ministry, singing and playing piano in churches where she was a member. Her unwavering faith was the driving force in her life. She always thanked the Lord for His grace and mercy especially during times of grief, loss, and pain.
Mrs. McLeod was preceded in death by her husband, Wiley, and parents, Charles and Lenora Davis and her brothers James and Neal Davis. She is survived by her daughters Roxanne Davis of Hunlock Creek, PA, and Lawanna and David Walthall of Crestview, Florida, her son Kyle McLeod of Crestview, Florida, her grandsons Matthew and Kristin Waggy, Aaron and Olivia Waggy, Alex and Tegan Bannister, and Kirk McLeod. Some of Mimi’s greatest joys were watching her great-grandsons, twins Jayden and Titus, and Wiley Waggy play and grow. Her great granddaughter Etta Jean will arrive this December and her Mimi will be watching from above. Her life will also be remembered by her best friend from her hometown of Washington, New Jersey, Sue Trincheria and her close friend, Helen Davis of Crestview Florida.
Mrs. McLeod’s children want to show appreciation to Fort Walton Beach Rehabilitation Center for caring for their mother. We give special thanks and love in particular to Tiffany. Mom’s final days were extra comforting due to the efforts from the staff of Emerald Coast Hospice, and we will always be grateful. Everyone who encountered our mother loved and will miss her laughter. And those who didn’t “never you mind”.
In respect to her wishes, there will be no funeral service and in lieu of flowers, please donate to your church’s children’s ministry.
