Marva Jayne McCoy (July 20, 1940 – April 17, 2021)
Marva Jayne McCoy, age 80, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2021 in Crawfordville, FL. She was a 1958 graduate of Beaumont High School in Beaumont, MS and went on to attend Jones County Junior College. She was a resident of Crestview, FL since 1970 and was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church. She especially loved her family and her cats, her church quilting group and Young at Heart.
Jayne is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sandra & Gary Scott of Crawfordville, FL, son and daughter-in-law, Keith & Fe McCoy of Milton, FL, grandchildren Megan McCoy of Thomasville, GA, and Camden McCoy of Crestview, FL, brother and sister-in-law Ronald & Gwen Byrd of Sandhill, MS and brother Darryl Byrd of Sandhill, MS, and numerous nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin & Maggie Byrd and her husband of 29 years, William “Bill” McCoy.
Visitation for family & friends will be held at Brackney Funeral Service in Crestview, FL on Thursday, April 22, from 4-6PM and again at Jones & Son Funeral Home in Richton, MS on Friday, April 23 from 10-11AM, followed immediately by a graveside memorial at Sandhill Cemetery. The family asks that donations be sent to the American Bible Society in lieu of flowers.
