May 07, 1939~March 24, 2021

Mary Alice Winstead, age 82, of Crestview, passed away Wednesday, March 24 at her home. She was born on May 7, 1938 in Algood, Tennessee. A country girl, from Algood, she moved to Summitville, TN, where she met her future in laws and husband as a young girl. After marriage, she moved to Detroit, MI and started a family with twin boys and then a daughter. She held various jobs before becoming a food service worker for the School District until retiring. After she and her husband retired, in Ypsilanti, MI, they moved to Crestview, where they resided for 30 years. She was a faithful member of the Airport Road Church of Christ.
Next to God, her family was the most important to her, especially her grandsons. She loved cooking for them, whether it was mashed potatoes & gravy or fudge. Her love for traveling started with her senior trip to Washington, DC. Whether traveling to Tennessee or across the ocean, she was always ready to go.
Her husband always provided for the families needs. She was a great Mom, providing for the wants of her children. Whether getting Converse and Levis for their boys or saving green stamps to get a vanity for her daughter. She will be greatly missed by all.

SSo sorry for your loss. There is no one like your mother and the love she has for her children. God give you peace and rejoice in her homegoing.
