Richard “Rick” Allen Kelley, 66, of Crestview, Florida, was born September 4,1955 in Mobile, Alabama and passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on October 8, 2021, following a valiant fight with Covid19. Rick was an E-5, Active-Duty Army with the United States Army Intelligence School Brigade at Ft Devins, MA from May 28,1974 to May 27, 1977. Rick then gave 28 years to Civil Service with the 33rd Fighter Wing.
Rick is survived by his beloved Annette, three children; son, David Kelley of Crestview, FL; son, Daniel Kelley and wife Suzanne of Pensacola, FL; daughter, Stephanie Kelley of Andalusia, AL; 2 brothers, Paul T “Tim” Kelley and wife Georgie of Crestview, FL; William P “Pat” Kelley and wife, Brenda of Clanton, AL; step-brother, Garry Winstead and wife Terry of Kinston, AL; step-sister, Pam Kennedy and husband Dennis of Crestview, FL ; 22 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren.
Rick was preceded in death by his father, William “Bill” Kelley; mother, Audrey Jeanette Winstead; stepfather William “Billy” Winstead; sister, Carol Suzanne “Sue” Kelley; and granddaughter, Mercedes Kelley.
Rick was a ferociously dedicated father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, October 12, from the Chapel of Brackney Funeral Service with Pastor Mike McVay officiating. Burial will follow in the Clear Springs Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
