Shirley M. Broxson, age 74, of Crestview, passed away Tuesday, February 23, at her home. Shirley was born on February 25, 1946 in Florala and was a lifelong resident of the Crestview area. She retired as an operator with Centel after many years of dedicated service.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents Dewey L & Mattie Sanford Barberree
her husband James Waylon Broxson and her sisters Francis Bush, Tera Bella Hamilton, Dorothy Gourley & Pat Bunting and an infant brother.
She is survived by her son Shannon J Hart and two sisters Melba Boling Callaway of Raleigh N.C, and Sheila Lundy of Crestview. Also two step sons Randy Broxson and James W. Broxson. 5 grandchildren
and numerous other relatives, extended family and friends.
A Celebration of Shirley's life will be held at 2:00PM, Tuesday, March 2, from the Chapel of Brackney Funeral Service with Pastor Mike White officiating.
The family will receive friends beginning at 1PM until service time.

So very sorry to hear about Shirley, she was such a kind,good,fun,friend, with the greatest smile. I worked with her for many years and she could always make me laugh, she had an upbeat outlook on life and everyone enjoyed her company.
